This week we have been reading The Little Red Hen. Some of the children chose to make their own paper plate hen in their busy time. They concentrated hard and persisted to make sure all the plate was covered with tissue. They added feathers, legs and a beak.
There was a lot of collaboration in their creativity too. Here you can see a den, a hotel, a base and a cave all made using talk to help the children work together.
On Friday the children inspired each other to practise their early writing. Miss Mearns handed out lots of her sparkly stickers for writing in busy time – she is worried she is going to run out!
