Wow what an exciting and action packed week full of creativity and discoveries we have had!
In PE, we travelled back in time to Ancient Egypt! We explored different shapes and movements inspired by Egyptian art and hieroglyphics, then worked in groups to choreograph our very own Egyptian-style dances. The children had great fun experimenting!
Our English lessons were full of expression this week as we used drama to explore our class text, ‘Stone Age Boy’. The children created freeze frames to show how the characters might have been feeling at different moments in the story.
In History, we continued our journey into the Stone Age. To help us understand just how long ago it was, we used a toilet roll as a giant timeline! Stretching it out really helped the children visualise the huge amount of time that has passed. They were amazed to see how far back the Stone Age truly was!
