This week, Acorn Class have been learning about Growing! We explored how our abilities change and develop as we grow. We also learned about what humans need to grow – water, food and sleep.
In response to their learning children made a keepsake of what they can do now to show how we grow taller, bigger and more independant as we get older, they made a comfortable bed for a teddy or toy to use so that they can get lots of sleep and grow too! Children also looked carfully in the mirror to draw a self-portrait.
In maths we have been learning all about the number 9 and the number 10. The children were very creative and found lots of different ways to represent 9 and 10 using dots, bricks and beans.
