A special day in Year 6

Year 6 received their cups over in the church this morning, in recognition of each child’s amazing journey through their years at St Michael’s. We were thrilled to have the Reverend Sue join us and share her powerful message and blessing as the children prepare for their exciting new journey at secondary school. The children should feel very proud of themselves; their cups and trophies were very well-earned! We followed the cup’s ceremony with a lap of honour around the field, cheered on by the rest of the school.

We were lucky to spend some more time with our buddies today too. Oak Class and Acorn class ate lunch together and in the afternoon, the children’s buddies presented a picture and a goodbye message. We were ever so lucky to enjoy an ice lolly together too!

We ended our special day by watching the leavers’ video: a very special (and emotional) moment! We enjoyed some very special cakes made by Mrs Worby, each child had a cake with their name and house colour. Thank you for such a lovely day, Year 6 – see you bright and early for our trips next week!
