We have had another busy week in Rowan Class!
As part of our Geography this term, we have been exploring why people visit the Alps and the different activities people enjoy there. Using the information we have learned, we then created our own surveys to find out how people use the facilities and amenities in Aldbourne and what they think could be improved in our local area.
We enjoyed speaking to some of our parents on the playground and finding out more about how our local community is used. It was fascinating to hear everyone’s different ideas and opinions! A big thank you to all the parents who gave up their time to help us with our surveys – we really appreciate it!
We also held our School Council elections this week! The children worked incredibly hard preparing their presentations, and we were treated to a fantastic variety of ideas, including videos, PowerPoint presentations and even a rap or two!
A huge well done to everyone who took part and had the confidence to put themselves forward. We were very impressed by the effort, creativity and enthusiasm shown by everyone. Congratulations to Ava and Alec who were elected as our School Council representatives for this year! We are sure they will do a fantastic job representing Rowan Class and sharing their ideas and opinions.
On Thursday, we had a wonderful afternoon in the forest! It was a glorious autumnal afternoon and we started the afternoon by spotting the signs of autumn all around us. We collected lots of conkers, which led to a very exciting conker battle with Mr Jarvis! We made wonderful clay creations and, as if that wasn’t enough, we even had a forest wedding! Phew! What a busy and exciting week we’ve had in Rowan Class!
