We kicked off our latest woodland session with a game of Pooh Feathers, seeing whose feather could float the furthest on the breeze. It was such a simple game, but it brought loads of giggles and excitement!
Once we were in the woods, the children had a go with butter knives – perfect for peeling bark. They loved the feel and smell of the smooth wood underneath as they worked on their sticks.
The flint and steel is always a big hit, and this time was no different. Everyone was keen to have a go, and the hot chocolate afterwards was definitely well deserved.
Meanwhile, some children got busy digging for worms, others chilled out in the hammocks, and a few went off in search of shiny new conkers.
Happy Days!
