St. Michael’s Weekly Post – 17th December 2018
14th December 2018
Wyvern Theatre Trip: Next week is our much anticipated trip to the pantomime which is a fantastic whole school experience for all the children. Thank you to all the parents who have given consent for this trip, if you have not already done so, please log into your ParentPay account as soon as possible. Thank you for your support.
A huge thankyou to the Friends of St Michael’s School for contributing towards the coach.
School Security: We do appreciate that you may have messages for the office or for your child’s class teacher. Please can we ask that any messages for your child’s class teacher are given to the office staff who will pass them on to the relevant teacher.
The help we receive from parents and volunteers is appreciated enormously but, for the security of all our children, we must ask that you remain in the area where you are based for volunteering and do not access other parts of the building without speaking to the office staff first.
KS1 Nativity Costumes: Costume letters are in book bags. Please ask if you have any questions.
Can you help? On the morning of Wednesday 19th December, Year 5 will be going to the Methodist Hall to join the Nursing Home in making Yule Logs. We need a couple of volunteers to accompany us, primarily for the walk between school and the Methodist Hall. If you are able to join us, please let Mr Pavey, Mrs Parmiter or the office know. Many thanks in advance for your support.
Parent Workshop (Friday 21st December): Each year we invite you to come along to this fun workshop from 9am to 11am. The Teachers share a story, the children and adults solve the problem in the workshop. This year the workshop will be to make a robin. Please come along with siblings and grandparents and bring any materials you may wish to use to make your robin and join us for a fun morning!
Lataca Lunches: If you haven’t already done so, please order your child’s lunches for next term with Lataca. You can find menus and order forms at https://www.lataca.co.uk/aldbourne-st-michaels-primary-school-dinners.html. Please email Lataca directly with any forms or queries.
Message from Friends of St Michael’s School
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the 3K run and the School Fair such a success. We hope everyone had a great time as well as making money for our school.

This is a fundraising event run by the School Governors for the local community and school parents to raise funds to support the village school.
