7th October 2022
It has been another busy week in school. Hazel and Birch Classes (Year 1 and 2) have been learning all about the Great Fire of London and they have been fascinated by this historical event. They have taken what they have learnt and used their busy time to demonstrate and cement this knowledge through their independent play. They have built fire engines out of large scrap objects, created amazing pictures and dug a trench in the mud pit to represent the River Thames. It has been wonderful to see their love for learning.
School Council Elections
Key Stage 2 School Council elections will be taking place next week 10th – 14th October. If your child would like to represent their class and work with Miss James they could:
- Make a poster
- Create a PowerPoint presentation
Or
- Create a speech
They are to identify why they should be chosen, think about maybe some personal goals they would like to achieve e.g. speaking in assembly, thinking about small steps the school can take to become more eco friendly (we love the big ideas but try and think of smaller things that are achievable), how we could make healthier choices when eating and any other ideas that they think a School Councillor could do!
We look forward to holding the elections in class next week!
