St. Michael’s Weekly Post – 23rd September 2022

23rd September 2022

This week has been a particularly exciting week for Oak Class (Year 6) who have thoroughly enjoyed their residential trip at Rockley, Bournemouth. They have had opportunity to undertake a wide variety of water sport, which has tried them out, and we know they are going to sleep really well at home this weekend.

Children in school have taken part in an amazing KAPLA workshop over the last couple of days. They have constructed a unique exhibition, which has taken over our school hall. The concentration from the children and the steady hands have been phenomenal. It was also lovely to welcome parents in to school to view their creations.

Celebration Assembly
Our Celebration Assemblies will be restarting from next Friday 30th September. Pre Covid-19 we invited parents to join these weekly assemblies and we would like to welcome you back into school to celebrate the children’s successes. Assembly usually take place on Fridays at 2:40pm and parents are to come into school via the main entrance should they wish to join us. You do not need to inform us that you are coming each week, just turn up as and when you are available to join us.

Our school Harvest Festival will take place on Friday 14th October at 11am in the Church and families are very welcome to join the celebration. There will be no Celebration Assembly this day.

Like last year, we will be collecting produce for Swindon Food Collective and we will be taking donations at both entrances of school from Wednesday 5th October. We have been advised that at the moment, they have plentiful supplies of cereal, pasta and tinned soup and beans but they would really love the following items:
