24th June 2022
It was so wonderful to have so many family members join us for a great Sports Day. We were so pleased to be able to welcome you back into school and we know the children were thrilled to be able to demonstrate their sporting skills, the smiles on the children’s faces said it all!
We are so proud of the children’s sporting achievements today, it was clear they all tried their very best and there was a healthy amount of competition on the field (or hall). Well done to all the children!
Oak and Rowan Class went on an amazing trip to London on Monday. They were so fortunate to see the Changing of the Guard and Cavalry riding along The Mall. “Best trip ever” was a phrase we heard a few times following this fantastic adventure.
Acorn class enjoyed a school trip to Roves Farm yesterday and we understand the highlight was an opportunity to hold a piglet and a goat. They were able to look round the animals and enjoyed singing as well as a little play in the burrows.
TD Day – Monday 27th June
As a reminder, on Monday the school will be closed for a Teacher Development Day.
Outstanding Trip Payments
Following Mrs Arkwright’s letter yesterday regarding outstanding trip money, can we please remind everyone to check their Weduc payments and settle any outstanding amounts. Thank you to those of you who have already done so.
No Outdoor Learning Groups or ELSA Forest School – Next Week
There will be no ELSA Forest School or Outdoor Learning Groups next week. Children are to come to school in their normal uniform instead, please.
Water bottles
Every child is to have a water bottle in school each day, particularly with this warmer weather. Can we please remind parents these bottles are for water only, no squash, please.

Our lovely school rain garden will feature in next week’s Open Gardens. The aim of the event is to showcase gardens in the village where wildlife is thriving and we are really proud to have been included.
