27th May 2022
Wow, what a way to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee! The children have had an exciting day learning a whole school rock and roll dance, making jam tarts, painting, crown making, eating afternoon tea as well as a celebratory lunch!! The children have also taken home not only a book from the Department for Education, which has been shared with all schools in the country, but a book from St Michael’s Church and a commemorative mug kindly donated by the Aldbourne Carnival.
We do hope you all have a wonderful half term, enjoying all the local festivities.
After School Clubs
Next term Art & Yoga after school clubs will be starting. Further details, including how to book, are attached.
Request: Large Old Trousers
On Sports day, we usually finish our flat races in Key Stage 2 with an obstacle race which culminates with the children putting on adult trousers and running to the end of the course. If you have any larger, old trousers that we could use on the day could you please send them in.
Sun Hats and Sun Cream
The weather at the start of this week has been beautifully sunny. As a reminder, children should have a named sun hat in school every day and that sun cream should be applied in the morning before school. Children can have a named bottle of sun cream in their bags (for personal use), so they can top up their sun cream, should they choose to.
