Year 5 and 6 enjoyed a wonderful day visiting the Ashmolean museum. We used our skills as historians to analyse, ask questions and hypothesise about what certain historical artefacts were and what they could tell us about life in Ancient Greece. We held various objects, including 2,500 year old arrowheads, pot fragments and coins. We also had the chance to explore the whole museum, it was amazing to see such a vast a collection of artefacts across the whole range of human history.
Thank you so much to the staff at the Ashmolean, who led some amazing sessions on life in Ancient Greece, and the volunteers who joined us – you all undoubtedly made such a wonderful experience possible
