Winterbourne Charity Event – Riding For The Disabled

We had such wonderful day today, having great fun and raising money for ‘Lambourn Riding for the Disabled.’

Our day kicked off with an assembly led by a brilliant volunteer from the RDA called Jennifer (Kiri and Dexter’s grandma). Jennifer told us all about the charity, shared some lovely photos and videos and introduced us to the horses too!

After that, our awesome Winterbourne House Captains took charge! First, they visited each classroom to run a ‘name the horse’ competition before creating a brilliant horse racing track on the field – complete with lots of challenging obstacles!

Children from all classes turned their odd socks into very creative horse heads before galloping around the race course on their personalised hobby horse! It was such good fun and all done for such a wonderful cause! Well done one and all!
