St Michael’s Weekly Post
8th November 2024
It has been a busy first week back at St Michael’s! We hope you all had a lovely half term break. We have been so lucky to have the incredible artist Darrell Wakelam in school this week. He worked with the whole school to create a beautiful butterfly inspired piece of 3D art which will be displayed in the hall. The children all loved working together and Darrell was so impressed with their creativity! Rowan Class headed to Marlborough College this week for an amazing morning taking part in a netball festival. Four teams competed against lots of different primary schools, showing amazing determination and resilience, especially when results didn’t go their way. They can be very proud of how well they played. Well done, Year 5!
We bid a farewell to Mrs Crossan this week, we wish her all the best for the future. We are delighted that Miss Welch will now be part of the Acorn class team. We hope the children will enjoy getting to know her better over the coming weeks.
Odd Socks Day – Wednesday 13th November
The school council have requested for the children to wear odd socks to school on Wednesday please, in recognition of anti-bullying week. We would like everybody to wear odd socks to celebrate the fact that we are all different. We can’t wait to see what socks everybody wears!
