St Michael’s Weekly Post
24th January 2025
It was wonderful to see so many of you this morning for our Education Friday service at St Michael’s Church. Thank you to Rvd. Sue Rodd for leading and allowing us to celebrate all those who dedicate their time to providing the children with the very best start in life with their education.
All sorts of brilliant activities have been taking place this week! Oak class headed to Pewsey Vale School for an exciting dodgeball tournament. They have been learning the rules of the game over the past few weeks and it was great to see their skills in action. We were so proud of them all!
Rowan class caused a lot of noise this week, when a group of children surprised their fellow class mates with a full power Viking raid in the classroom, really getting into the spirit bringing their history lessons to life!
Lots of singing practice has taken place as Oak and Rowan classes head off to Birmingham to the World Resort’s Arena for the Young Voices concert next Friday. This is a choir like no other – 9,000 young voices, all coming together in a massive arena and it is always a highlight in our musical calendars!
No Celebration Assembly next week – Friday 31st January
Please note that there will be no Celebration Assembly next week due to the fact we have x2 year groups out at the Young Voices Concert.
Music Concert
There will be a music concert on Monday 10th February. This will be a chance for Cherry class to showcase their cornet skills and for other children who have individual music lessons in school to show you what they have been learning. The concert will take place at St Michael’s Church at 2pm.
