St Michael’s Weekly Post
1st December 2023
A very cold but busy week for St Michael’s. Cherry class were treated to a visit from a geologist who kindly shared her passion and knowledge of rocks. Birch class have been making wonderful creations inspired by their English books and Oak class visited Marlborough College for an interesting science talk.
We ended the week with a beautiful Christingle service in St Michael’s Church. The children had great fun working together this morning to make the Christingles for this special occasion to mark the beginning of advent.
A reminder to bring in any unwanted clothing on Monday for our Bag2School collection – many thanks.
Parents Evening – Elder – Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th December

Wiltshire All Together
We wanted to share a resource hub, All Together which helps children, young people and families across Wiltshire access the right help at the right time. They will help you find the support and information you need quickly and easily. They work with local communities, bringing together a range of professionals and organisations, to ensure there is always support available when you need it. Head to their website find information on things to do, places to go, practical tips or someone to talk to.
As Christmas creeps closer, we want to make sure you are aware of all of the festive activities that will be happening in school.

We will be finishing our last day of term early at 1pm.
Story: The Fagradalsfjall volcano is thought to be the cause of a series of recent earthquakes and Iceland has declared a state of emergency as inhabitants from the nearby town of Grindavik are evacuated.
Question: What emergency services help us?
