Cherry class spent the day with the amazing Ladies from ARK (Action for River Kennet).
Anna and her gang welcomed the children with 4 bulls arriving into the grazing field to help conserve the area.
After this, the children explored the surrounding area hunting for different wildlife. They were taught about the importance of all the different animals.
Then the children sat down and enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch!
Finally, the excitement was in the air as the children were heading to the river! They needed the river in the heat! The children went searching in the river for various fish and other creatures they could find. They then were able to explore what they found by using magnifying glasses to get a closer look. Once they had explored their findings, the children enjoyed some time playing in the river.
Throughout the day, the wonderful ladies shared with the children lots of ways they can reduce the amount of water they use.
