Cherry class had a fantastic afternoon exploring the forest this week with their curious minds. With the sudden end to summer, the children were hoping for a hot chocolate so we tried to start a fire to boil the ghillie kettle. While we could get the fire starter thanks to some amazing fire strike skills, keeping it going was proving a little trickier! The children tried, tried and tried again with amazing positivity. However, in the end at 2.50pm we resorted to plan….G and dashed back to school to fill the thermos flasks with hot water. Safe to say, the hot chocolates were much appreciated and the children were amazingly resourceful and helpful in making sure everyone was looked after!
