We have been planning and writing speeches in English. Our speeches were written from the perspective of Beowulf as he announced that he would take on the mighty Grendel in the hope of reclaiming Denmark for King Hrothgar and its people! After writing our speeches, we worked in trios to think about how we might improve our speeches in preparation for performing them in our next lesson.
