Year 5 and 6 headed to Marlborough Literacy Festival to hear a talk given by the author and poet John Dougherty. We heard about how he got the ideas from his books Mark and Shark, and Stinkbomb and Ketchup Face. He had us laughing throughout and we left feeling very inspired about writing! Some of us also had the chance to see the winning and highly commended pieces of work from the book cover competition that we took part in last year.
