Reception, year 1 and 2 became intrepid explorers on Friday as they stepped into Captain Scott’s shoes to trek to the South Pole!
They experienced what it might be like to be on an expedition by melting ice to make hot chocolate, creating a sledge to transport food, being blindfolded to navigate across treacherous terrain and transporting water!
We then set up our base camps and entertained ourselves (without the use of technology!!) as they might have done on a cold, dark evening by writing diaries, reading and making snow sculptures and bow and arrows!
A huge thank you to all of our parent helpers who made the day such a great success!
