Hazel Class Baking

This week in Hazel class, we revisited food and nutrition as part of our Design and Technology learning. We were originally set a challenge to design a snack that would give a polar explorer enough energy for their expedition. We thought about the different food groups and decided flapjack would be a good source of slow release energy, because of the carbohydrates. We had a simple recipe for flapjacks which we made, then evaluated and improved it by changing the ingredients. We had to get feedback on our recipe to help us decide what the recipe needed.
