This term in DT we have been focusing on food technology We have learnt about a balanced plate, thought about what we might need to eat if we were on an long expedition like Captain Scott and then designed our own flapjack recipes.
We discussed likes and dislikes after making a standard flapjack recipe and decided that it wasn’t sweet enough and Mrs Godfrey had bought the wrong type of butter!
We then designed 4 different versions to make and try today. It was a unanimous decision not to make a recipe with cloves in after we all smelt the pot and decided we definitely did not want to try a flapjack with that in!! However, funnily enough, chocolate chips were a popular choice!
We loved trying and evaluating our recipes this afternoon!
