The sun came out for Acorn Class’s very first Forest School session and we had a lovely time!
Our buddies helped us get ready before we headed up to the forest to set up our new base camp. We started by learning our new Forest School rules, helping us to stay safe, look after each other and take care of our forest.
Then it was time to explore! There was lots to discover as we searched for bugs and looked carefully to see what we could find hiding amongst the leaves and logs. We also got creative, using leaves and spray paint to make some fantastic forest artwork. The swings, hammocks and rope ladders were popular, and some children worked really hard to excavate some natural chalk from the ground! It was lovely to see everyone getting stuck in and trying something new!
After all that exploring, we took a break to enjoy a hot chocolate and a biscuit together. A perfect little treat after a busy afternoon in the forest!
