This term, our English and History learning has taken us thousands of years into the past as we began exploring stone age life. To help us understand this fascinating period, we have been looking closely at cave paintings, some of the earliest forms of human storytelling.
We learned how archaeologists study these ancient images to discover what life was like for early humans. Using the famous Lascaux cave paintings as inspiration, we experimented with recreating some of the designs ourselves.
To help bring the topic to life, we transformed part of our classroom into our very own stone age cave! All of this helped us launch our new English text, Stone Age Boy, which we will be using to inspire our writing this term. It’s been an exciting and creative start to our historical journey and we can’t wait to discover more!
