Cherry Class Count on Nature!

This morning Cherry Class visited the Churchyard to check out the insects and animals that may live there.

We had a look at all the moths Mrs Best had collected in the Churchyard the night before and we were excited to be able to look at and hold one of the biggest moths that lives in the UK! We also collected little animal houses to see if any voles, shrews or mice may have visited in the night and set up new homes with straw and mealworms to entice more to the churchyard.

We also looked for signs that hedgehogs had visited the churchyard overnight and found both hedgehogs and cats had made an appearance, leaving their footprints on the specially made tunnels.

Many thanks to Mrs Best for showing us just how wonderful nature is!
