Birch Class in the forest

Birch Class have had an amazing start to their term of Forest School with sunny, warm and dry weather for 2 weeks in a row!

The children enjoyed their first time since the summer exploring the woods looking for changes from their last visit, looking for bugs, swinging and climbing in the trees and making amazing mud pies.

This week we read an autumn story from one of glorious new library books, Slow Down.  The children were then challenged to collect the biggest leaf in the woods. We pegged them up in size order, Pippa won with her giant Horse Chestnut leaf!

The children enjoyed using the saws and knives and became more confident with them. Our new hammock was put up and everyone enjoyed swinging and climbing!

What a lovely time we’re having so far!
