Hazel class loved being back in the forest!
We spent time talking about the seasons and exploring what winter was, the shorter days, colder temperature, deciduous trees loosing their leaves and animals hibernating or migrating. We read The Very Long Sleep book about some animals that did hibernate.
Children then enjoyed exploring the woods noticing changes from their last visit and Mrs Mooney’s Gods Eye gang were very busy. Hot chocolate was particularly enjoyed too. Others enjoyed swinging from the hammocks and swinging from the trees.
What a brilliant way to spend an afternoon!
