What an exciting week we’ve had. A visit from the Air Ambulance and a trip to the dig, where the volunteers were fantastic and told us all about what they’d found and how they’d found it. The children were thrilled to be able to try a mini metal detector! We have also had an incredibly creative week in Hazel Class, with beautiful dream catchers, sun visors and snail houses being made, to name a few. We also learnt about and tried doing some running stitch for the first time, in preparation for making toys in DT. We were blown away with the children’s perseverance and concentration when mastering this new skill. They even set up their own sewing club! To cap it all, the children are so excited to have their own copy of ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’, which we are reading together as a class as part of ‘Just Reading’.
