Back in September, Acorn Class started an art project ‘Collecting Colour’. Over the past two terms we’ve had the opportunity to explore different media and develop our colour recognition, mark-making and colour mixing skills.
Starting with the primary colours, we made different marks with each material: oil pastel, paint, plasticine, crayons, colouring pencils and pens, blending and overlaying materials and changing the way we hold them.
After exploring the primary colours, we’ve begun to mix and overlay colours to find out what happens!
