A Busy Week in Elder!

As part of our science learning this term, we have been exploring habitats. To bring our learning to life, we headed outdoors to investigate a range of microhabitats around the school. We had great fun searching under plant pots, beneath logs and around tree trunks, where we discovered a variety of fascinating insects. It was wonderful to see the children so engaged and excited as they explored the natural world around them.

In Geography, we have been exploring where our food comes from. The children investigated lots of different food packaging to find out where different products were produced. We then located these places on a map and measured how many kilometers each item had travelled to reach us. We were fascinated to discover just how far our food travels before it arrives on our plates!

Great work Elder Class!
