St Michael’s Rainscapes Garden
Join us on Thursday 27th June between 9am and 4pm for the first of our exciting volunteering days developing our Rainscape Garden.
If you are able to spend all or part of the day with us your help would be much appreciated.
No experience necessary, we’ll provide instruction, tool, gloves and any safety equipment needed.
To ensure we have adequate equipment could you let me know if you are able to help and some indication of how much time you can spend with us? Please email email@example.com or you can call Linda Nemeth on 07557 524548.
If you are able to bring along your own fork or spade that would help us out.
We have further days planned on:
Wednesday 3rd July
Thursday 4th July
Tuesday 16th July
Tuesday 23rd July
We will be planning further days over the summer break and will try and include at least one family day where the children can come along and help as well. If you are able to help on any of these other days please let Linda know.
A busy day ahead tomorrow:
- Last Celebration Assembly 9am
- Winterbourne House Day – Dementia Awareness day, see below.
- Reception Roves Farm Trip
Winterbourne House Day: Dementia Awareness. Tomorrow (Friday 21st June 2019) don’t forget to come dressed in non-uniform with a splash of blue. Winterbourne House will be selling ice-creams in the afternoon. Save all your pennies over the weekend to fill up the change bags your child will be bringing home.
ParentPay: Please can you all check your ParentPay accounts for all overdue trips and events.
Year 6 Parents: Please check your ParentPay account to ensure any outstanding balances are paid by the end of the summer term. If possible, payment by 28th June 2019 would be much appreciated. If you have any queries, please speak to Mrs Hamilton or Mrs Lipscombe to clarify any outstanding balances.
Message from Friends of St Michael’s School:
Happy’s Circus: Buy your tickets at https://www.stmichaelsaldbourne.co.uk/circus-tickets/ and in the playground each afternoon from Alex Lambert and her pink spotty bag for a bargain £9 each.
Message from Aldbourne Book Group:
Come and meet the fabulous TV presenter Dr Janina Ramirez this Sunday at the Aldbourne Children’s Book Group “Viking Adventure” Summer Garden Party between 2pm and 4pm at The Old Malt House, South Street. ‘Dr Nina’ will be myth-busting about the Vikings, and signing copies of her thrilling mystery/adventure books. Dress up as a Viking and pose with weapons supplied by The Wiltshire Museum! There’ll be free refreshments and crafts, a puzzle trail for KS1 and KS2 children with great prizes, and some brilliant raffle prizes too! If you’re not a member of the Book Group you can always sign-up at the event – family/household membership is just £15 family/household a year. The money we raise helps pay for authors to come to St. Michael’s, like the amazing Simon James event we organised in February.
