St. Michael’s Weekly Post – 8th February 2019
8th February 2019
Year 4 Liddington Trip: Children can come to school in non-uniform, but will need suitable waterproof footwear for a 3 mile walk warm, waterproof clothing, a small rucksack to carry their water bottle and a car seat if necessary. We will leave school at 12.30pm returning for 3.15pm.
Lataca: Please find attached order forms for Term 4 school lunches and the Easter Meal on the 3rd April. Please order online at https://www.lataca.co.uk/aldbourne-st-michaels-primary-school-dinners.html or paper copies can be found in the entrance of the school.
Author Visit: Award-winning author and illustrator Simon James will be at school all day on Friday 15th February. He will be running workshops for all year groups, and kick-starting a very exciting whole-school project! At 3.15 parents are welcome to come in to meet Simon and buy copies of his much-loved books which he will personalise and sign. (Prices range from £6.99 – £9.99. Please bring cash as he won’t be able to accept card payment.)
Year 3, invited Years 4 & 5: Don’t forget swimming commences on the 25th February 2019. Please ensure you have given consent via ParentPay. We will need two volunteer helpers for each session to assist the children during the journey and in the changing rooms. Your help with this is very much appreciated so please volunteer even if only for one session.
Photographic and Film Consent Form: Thank you to those of you who have returned your forms. If you haven’t done so yet, please return yours as soon as possible.
Appointments in school time: We understand how difficult it can be to arrange doctor and dentist appointments, but please try to book these outside of school hours to reduce interruption to children’s’ learning. Thank you for your co-operation.
Year 1 and 2: If you can spare any shoe boxes, please could you give them to Years 1 and 2 for their project next week. Thank you.
