Rowan class had an awesome day taking part in the Road to RIAT (Royal International Air Tattoo), a STEM project which had us thinking all about flight. First of all, we learnt about how rockets are designed, thinking about aerodynamics and the forces involved in successful flight. We built our own, testing how well they flew on the playground. This afternoon, we turned our attention to sustainability. We designed a sustainable aircraft, thinking about fuels and materials, which will be entered into a national competition!
