This term we’ve been working on a cool DT project involving sewing. We have been designing and making a soft toy for KS1 (although I have a feeling that children may want to keep the end product when they are finished!). We have used a pair of old socks and in each session so far, we have retrieved and developed our understanding and skills involving a range of sewing techniques including running stitch, back stitch and anchoring.
