This week we have been thinking about animals again and making footprints using clay. We were so lucky that Chris Martin came to give us a talk about how he looks after and trains horses at the stables. We had a chance to look at the feed, the head collar and even try on the jockey’s silks! The rain was torrential for PE so we enjoyed having all the gym equipment out learning about different gym shapes – straight, tuck, pike and straddle. The sunshine has encouraged the children to be even more creative outside. Den building and large construction for role play remain really popular and the constructions are increasingly complex. This gives the children so many opportunities to develop their physical, communication and social skills.
