Rowan Class enjoyed a visit to Ramsbury Manor on Wednesday. They were immersed in all things poetry and art for the day. They used organic paints to create pictures and used their surroundings to create poetry. Thank you Ramsbury Manor for hosting us for the day and providing the transport.
Today children in Oak and Rowan Classes received a very interesting and informative talk from Aldbourne Heritage Society. They learnt a great deal about the abandoned village of Snap and how it changed over the years, taking information from the census.
Four Barrows House Day – Friday 26th May
In memory of our wonderful TA, Mrs Godwin, who passed away last year, Four Barrows are raising money for Water Aid, a charity close to her heart. Children are to come to school in non-uniform, wearing a splash of green (Four Barrows House colours) and bring along a teddy. Teddies are to come dressed up, ready to enjoy a teddy bears’ picnic. The most creative teddy outfit will win a prize!
We would really appreciate it if Four Barrows children could bring in cakes (nut free – with it clearly noted if they contain dairy products) on Friday morning.
Can we please ask that donations for Water Aid be made via Weduc (parents can choose how much they would like to donate).

OPAL – Outdoor Play and Learning
We are still looking for help to build a large sandpit built on our school field for children to play in. We wondered if there is anyone who may be able to do this for us or lead a project team to make this happen. If you are able to help, please email admin@stmichaelsaldbourne.co.uk, it would be hugely appreciated.
Braeside Holiday Club
Please find attached details regarding Braeside Holiday Club.
Sun Hats and Sun Cream
As a reminder, we are starting to enjoy sunny weather. Children should have a named sun hat in school every day and sun cream should be applied in the morning, before school. Children can have a named bottle of sun cream in their bags (for personal use), so they can top up their sun cream should they choose to.
