Year 6 have had a fascinating time dissecting hearts this afternoon. In Science, they have been learning about the human circulatory system and the structure of the heart. Having watched a video about how to dissect, they set about it with great enthusiasm (maybe some more than others!) using lambs hearts. They were able to find the valves and muscle fibres inside the chambers and noticed how much thicker the muscle was on the left hand side than the right.
