Birch and Hazel explore The Great Fire of London!

What an incredible Great Fire of London Day we have had!  Lots of children dressed up to help us get into the Tudor time period and then we took part in a range of activities.

We held a bucket chain race to see what it would have been like to try and put the fire out with no hoses!

Then we choreographed our very own fire dance to represent how the fire spread.  We even performed to an audience of year 4s with special guest judge, Mrs Englefield!

We all had a go at making bread pretending that we were in Thomas Farriner’s bakery!

We used all of our wonderful Kapla and other consturction blocks to help rebuild London after the fire!  We recreated some of London’s most famous buildings and worked brilliantly as a team.  The adults were blown away by what the children built.

Such a great, fun day with lots of learning and lots of laughter!
