A busy couple of weeks in Elm Class!

It has been a busy couple of weeks for the children in Elm class. There were many new faces to get to know so we began our time together playing some games to help us do so. We wrote riddles to see if we could work out who they were about…

We have been exploring endangered animals and the threats to our oceans through plastic pollution and climate change. We have also been very creative and made sculptures and pictures inspired by the animals that we have been learning about.

Elm have been very active as well. We’ve spent lots of time in the forest building dens and trying out lots of crafts. Yesterday, a zip wire was a very popular creation!

In PE, we’ve been thinking about setting challenging ourselves, adapting activities depending on whether we found something too hard or too easy. This week, we looked at an exercise routine where different exercises represented a letter. We used these to spell our names and changed certain exercises depending on whether we found them too tricky or too easy…

What a busy group of children you’ve been!
