We are in the top 12% of schools nationally for attainment in Key Stage 2 Reading.

KS2 Results Across all Three Subjects: Reading, Writing and Maths
79% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths, significantly above the national average of 64.3%.
25% of pupils at St. Michael’s School achieved a high scaled score in Reading, Writing and Maths, which was significantly above the national average.
Phonics Screening Results
81% of pupils passed the Phonics Screening check, compared with 81% of pupils nationally.
Key Stage 1 Results
In Reading, 86% of the children achieved the expected standard, compared to 75.4% of pupils nationally.
In Writing, 83% of the children achieved the expected standard, compared to 69.9% of pupils nationally.
In Maths, 86% of the children achieved the expected standard, compared to 76.1% of pupils nationally.
Key Stage 2 Results
Reading
91.7% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading. A further 75% achieved a higher standard. Both of which are significantly above the national average 75% and 25% respectively.
Average scaled in score in Reading is 113.4, significantly above the national average of 105.

Writing
83% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Writing, compared to 78% of pupils nationally. A further 33% achieved a higher standard.

Maths
88% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Maths, significantly above the national average of 76%. A further 38% achieved a higher standard.
Average scaled score in Maths is 108.6, significantly above national average of 104.4.

SPaG
88% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar, a further 67% achieved a higher standard which is significantly above national averages.
Average scaled score in Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar is 113, which is significantly above national average.
