We have taken our training online! Our Head teacher, EYFS teacher and Year 1 teacher will talk you through our approach to continuous provision and we will share photographs as well as planning documents.
Research and our school experience tells us that young children learn best through play and exploration, this is why we have built on the outstanding Early Years practice found in our Reception class to provide children with independent learning in Year 1. We have found our approach gives the children time to think and explore, and to be fully engaged in their learning all day long.

An extremely welcoming school that has allowed a fantastic insight into how Continuous Provision can be successfully used across a key stage.
Our classroom environment is set up with cosy corners, engaging learning stations and interactive displays inviting our children to take part in the latest provocation and challenge. The outdoors supports physical development with resources and challenges being on a much larger scale including a mud kitchen and mud pit, large sand pit, as well as a range of large loose parts to create an endless range of structures. Our children are busy and happy!
Every day our children get the chance to be a designer, an artist, a writer, a scientist, a musician, a mathematician, a storyteller, an athlete, geographer or historian.
Carefully planned play-based experiences inspire the children to consolidate their skills, knowledge and understanding enabling them to be independent, resilient learners who motivate themselves to take on the next challenge and push themselves to their limits.
Throughout the environment, both inside and outside, we see busy children actively engaged in a wide range of activities that they themselves have chosen.
