Year Five (Mr Everitt)

Welcome to Mr Everitt’s Class

Welcome to Year 5, a group of wondrous writers, marvelous mathematicians, amazing athletes and all-round superstars!

As a class, we like to have as much fun as possible when we are learning. Our Ancient Greece topic has been very exciting, we’ve debated whether the story of Theseus and the Minotaur is true by looking closely at a collection of artifacts. Some of us have begun to think that there is an element of truth in the story, while others still firmly believe it is a myth. We’re a little divided on the matter!

We’re a hugely creative class, our wonderful Greek vases are a tribute to this. In fact, our favourite lessons are the ones where we can create something; whether as writers or artists or as computer scientists!

If you were to see Year 5 around school, you would see kind, friendly and happy children. We are great role models for other children – especially the younger ones – and we can often be seen playing beautifully with younger children. We are especially good at looking after them, and each other, when we are upset or hurt.
